SsangYong are to offer the Korando 4x4 light commercial vehicle to it’s range and with prices starting at just £15995 ex VAT with a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty its bound to attract some serious attention. 

The load area which is accessed from the rear hatch is completely flat and it has a massive 1312 cubic litre volume, together with a payload of 433kg. The SsangYong engine is a lower CO2 version of the popular Korando unit which develops 149 horsepower at 40000 rpm and 360Nm of torque. The Korando CSX is an affordable, practical vehicle which is bound to attract business users who are looking for a car like drive together with van like carrying capabilities, this will be the third LCV to join the SsangYong range of vehicles.

Citroen vans are even more fuel efficient!

Citroen vans are now even more fuel efficient thanks to the introduction of the new Berlingo Airdream e-Hdi micro-hybrid model which is due to be built this month. The new model boosts better fuel economy (up to 62.8mpg) and lower CO2 emmission (118g/km) This is part of Citroen's continued product development process which will continue to see new innovations over the coming months.

It’s official Ford are the most reliable van manufacturer in the UK with their Transit model coming top in the FN 50 reliability survey. Mercedes also improved their position from last year moving from third to second place. Vauxhall came in third place.

The survey is based on a series of questions asked to Companies running a range of vans and includes a ranked on warranty claims, reliability and breakdowns.

Volkswagen vans are now more fuel efficient thanks to VW offering their BlueMotion technology throughout the Transporter range of commercial vehicles.

A 7% improvement in fuel economy along with reduced engine emissions is being achieved compared to the old 84PS and 102PS models.

Stop Start engines, Battery Regeneration and low rolling resistance tyres are all part of the VW Blue Motion Technology.

Fiat Doblo Ambulance deal!

Fiat have just delivered 66 Fiat Doblo Combi vehicles to Medical Services Ltd. All the Fiat Doblos are Euro 5 compliant and are the Maxi Active 1.6 16v Diesel versions which have been modified to Medical Services exacting specifications by Lateral Design Concepts of Keighley and have been fitted with a foldable ramp to enable wheelchair access.

They have been supplied by HTC Van Centre in Croydon Surrey. The Fiats will be used to transport patients using wheel chairs too and from hospital.

Sebastiano Fedrigo Director at Fiat Professional commented that he was delighted that the new Fiat Doblo Combi vehicles will be part of Medical Services quality ambulance fleet.

Vauxhall Commercial vehicles have become the number one best seller for commercial vehicles in the UK supplied to small businessess, and year to date they have sold more than 9000 vans to this vital retail/small business segment of the market with their Vivaro Van outselling everything in the medium size van segment.

The recent surge in popularity for Vauxhall vans is largley due to the low whole life costs, good build quality and excellent support from the manufacturer.
